The Little Elm Economic Development Corporation is seeking eligible individuals to fill the two positions opening this September:

One opening to fulfill a current term expiring on September 30, 2021.

One full-term position expiring September 30, 2024.

Interviews will be held in August. Specific information forthcoming.

New members will be in place for attending the September Board Meeting.

The Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation that provides leadership and vision for the Town of Little Elm's economic future. The EDC is charged with attracting new commercial businesses, new tourism opportunities, and new jobs to Little Elm. Our mission is to advance economic development in Little Elm while capitalizing on our lakeside character and sense of community.

Members of the EDC board are entrusted with recruiting, retaining, and entering into legal agreements with firms, companies, organizations, and enterprises that serve to increase the local tax base and create jobs within Little Elm.

Interested individuals must have been residents of Little Elm for a minimum of one year, be of high moral character and willing to devote time, effort and energy to the position, willing to attend regularly scheduled meetings (typically on the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m.), and must agree to serve a full term. Graduates of CGA (Citizens Government Academy) are preferable. Applications of individuals not chosen for a position on the Board, Commission, or Panel are kept on file for one year in the event a vacancy occurs in one of the panels.

The deadline for submitting applications for consideration is 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 31. Individuals who qualify for consideration will undergo interviews with a panel, including Mayor Pro Tem, two members of the Town Council, and the EDC President.

Each qualifying applicant will be notified of their specific interview time by Human Resources staff.
