JOB SUMMARY

The Fall/Winter Seasonal Maintenance Crew Leader will be responsible for working seasonal events and will supervise the fall/maintenance workers while on shift. This position may also assist Parks Maintenance setting up and breaking down the events.

The Fall/Winter Seasonal Maintenance Crew Leader will have an opportunity to work in a community that is one of the fastest growing and most exciting suburbs in the USA. EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

Must be 19 years of Age

 

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

  1. Must be bondable.
  2. Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  1. Ability to communicate effectively.
  2. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Supervise other seasonal maintenance workers to make sure they stay on task.
  2. Coach subordinates regarding any issues or problems.
  3. Coach new staff about proper procedures and daily job activities.
  4. Interact with residents and visitors of the park.
  5. Assist with setup and break down of both Pumpkin Hollow and Christmas
  6. Assist with any traffic issues, lighting issues and power issues associated with Pumpkin Hollow and the Christmas displays.
  7. Prepare the park during the opening and closing of the events.
  8. Responsible for helping residents and visitors enjoy their Fall/Christmas event experience.
  9. Maintain daily traffic reports and cash handling in conjunction with Quick Park parking company supervisor.
  10. Coordinate work procedures such as prioritizing daily work activities.
  11. Maintain a clean/organized work area.
  12. Main contact person for supervisors, police department, and EMS.
  13. Must be able to work extra hours as needed. (Special events, holidays, and other events).
  14. Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts.
  15. Must be able to work holidays and holiday weekends.
  16. Reports to supervisor about any issues with employees, visitors, police, or any problem seen in the park.
  17. Promotes events, news, etc. going on in the park.
  18. Must be knowledgeable about the Lakefront and any new Lakefront attractions/restaurants.
  19. Interact with residents and visitors of the park.
  20. Picks up and removes trash from beaches, parks, greenbelts, creeks, drainage areas, ponds, right-of-ways, and/or other open spaces.
  21. Inspects assigned areas, corrects and/or reports safety hazards.
  22. Observes safe work methods and uses safety equipment. Secures work sites from hazards as needed.
  23. Performs a variety of activities in support of cleaning and sanitizing restrooms; power washing pavilions, walls, sidewalks, and restrooms; and/or, performing other related activities.
  24. Performs other duties as assigned.

  1. Knowledge of safety precautions pertaining to the work.
  2. Knowledge of practices and procedures of general maintenance work.
  3. Skilled in writing, reading and comprehending instructions in English.
  4. Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency plans, reports.
  5. Skilled in performing manual labor.
  6. Skilled in communicating effectively with a variety of individuals.
  7. As a leader who must operate under the Town’s Four Core Values of Integrity, Customer Service, Efficiency and Innovation.

  1. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished by management in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  1. Frequent climbing, balancing, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, and talking.
  2. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds.
  3. Working in outdoor locations; heat and cold.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Work is typically performed in an outdoor environment, with prolonged exposure to adverse weather conditions.
  2. Work is performed near moving mechanical parts.
  3. Work is primarily performed on nights and weekends.
  4. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles.
