The Little Elm Youth Council is looking for seven 9th-12th graders to serve on its inaugural youth council. The original members shall be appointed for an initial term (January-July 2023), then reappointed for their first full term in August 2023.

The Little Elm Youth Council serves as a liaison between the Town Council and the youth of the community on the issues affecting youth. The committee learns how their local government operates, hosts guest speakers on topics effecting the youth of our community, organizes community service projects each semester and gives reports to the City Council each year. The Little Elm Youth Council is a great opportunity to learn about the community and local government, to serve the community through volunteering and meet new friends.

Interested individuals must be residents of Little Elm, enrolled in 9th-12th grade, and be able to meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, starting in January 2023. Two (2) members shall be from Little Elm ISD, two (2) members shall be from Frisco ISD, two (2) members shall be from Denton ISD, and one (1) member shall either be from one of the ISDs, private, home, or charter school.

Each qualifying applicant will be notified of their specific interview time by Town staff. Interviews will be conducted by a three member panel of the Mayor and Council Members.
