JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for helping residents and visitors enjoy their Little Elm Beach experience. Answer questions about Little Elm, such as general information about the park, beach and park rules, upcoming events, rental programs, and Town attractions. Responsible for maintaining a clean environment throughout the park, including beach, restrooms, pavilions, amphitheater, grilling areas and playground.
The Seasonal Maintenance Worker/Beach Ambassador will have an opportunity to work in a community that is one of the fastest growing and most exciting suburbs in the USA. EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Must be 17 years of age.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
- Must be bondable.
- Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished by management in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent climbing, balancing, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, and talking.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is typically performed in an outdoor environment, with prolonged exposure to adverse weather conditions.
- Work is performed near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Interact with residents and visitors of the park.
- Educate visitors about beach and park rules.
- Provide information, including general information about the park, park rules, upcoming Town events, rental programs, and Town attractions.
- Report violations to Police Officer on duty.
- Must be able to work extra hours as needed. (Special Events, holidays, weekends and other events).
- Report to Crew Leaders about any issues with other employees, visitors, or any problem seen in the park.
- May assist in a variety of landscape maintenance activities
- Picks up and removes trash from beaches, parks, and other open areas
- Inspects assigned areas, corrects and/or reports safety hazards.
- May assist in the use of a variety of hand and power tools and equipment and other tools.
- Drives a variety of trucks and other vehicles.
- Observes safe work methods and uses safety equipment. Secures work sites from hazards as needed.
- May assist in the preparation and maintenance of athletic fields, grounds maintenance, and playground areas
- Performs other duties as assigned.
