JOB SUMMARY
Assist in creating one-of-a-kind special events. Tasks can include ticket taker, customer service helper, mange areas of the event as assigned, assisting in event set up and tear down, and other duties as assigned.
The Special Event Staff will have an opportunity to work in a community that is one of the fastest growing and most exciting suburbs in the USA. EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years of age.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
- Must be bondable.
- Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Efficiently set up and break down event equipment such as tents, tables, chairs, stages, sound systems, and other related activities.
- Ensure all event spaces are arranged according to the specified layout and design, paying attention to details.
- Transport and handle event materials and equipment with care to prevent damage or accidents.
- Safely operate and maintain equipment and tools used in event setup, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, town vehicles and hand tools.
- Uphold safety protocols and regulations to create a secure environment for event attendees and fellow workers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the storage and inventory of event equipment.
- Work in various weather conditions and at different event venues, ranging from outdoor festivals, events at our waterpark, and other locations.
- Interact with residents and visitors attending the events.
- Assist with any customer service issues pertaining to Special Events
- Must be able to work extra hours as needed. (Special Events, holidays, and other events).
- Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sundays as that’s when majority of the shifts will take place.
- Must be able to work evenings.
- Report to Crew Leaders about any issues with other employees, visitors, or any problem seen in the park.
- Picks up and removes trash from beaches, parks, greenbelts, creeks, drainage areas, ponds, right-of-ways, and/or other open spaces.
- Inspects assigned areas, corrects and/or reports safety hazards.
- Observes safe work methods and uses safety equipment. Secures work sites from hazards as needed.
- Performs a wide variety of activities in support of Special Events
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished by management in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent climbing, balancing, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, and talking.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds.
- Working in outdoor locations; heat and cold.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is typically performed in an outdoor environment, with prolonged exposure to adverse weather conditions.
- Work is performed near moving mechanical parts.
- Work is primarily performed on nights and weekends.
- Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles.
